“I’ve worked very hard to support British fashion in the States through the exhibition called Anglomania, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (in New York), and my support of designers like Alexander McQueen and John Galliano,” said Anna Wintour, Editor in Chief of US Vogue.

For a 59-year old, she really does had an amazingly thin figure, pulling off a Chanel suit from the latest Autumn/Winter 08/09 collection like any other model on the catwalk. PETA readers, I’m sorry but that scarf she’s wearing does look like real fur, though no word of confirmation on that matter has yet been released.

The Anglomania exhibition Wintour worked on features not only designs by Galliano and McQueen but also Vivienne Westwood, Philip Treacy, Hussein Chalayan and some medieval and twentieth-century pieces.

The exhibition’s audio program is narrated by John Rotten, who discusses the evolution of British fashion and how fashion relates to social structures as well as individual expression.
