Armani Couture Not Doing So Well

Even Giorgio Armani admits to being “amazed” in this current credit crunch, as some of his regular elite clientele have cancelled orders for his coutoure gowns. “It’s a psychological issue,” said Armani, who obviously doesn’t believe that the problem is financial at all.
Armani has said that the new focus is on opening stores in the “emerging markets.”
It’s really weird, though, that Armani blames the problem as psychological yet Lindsay Lohan’s leggings are selling like there is no credit crunch. Albeit Lohan’s leggins are more affordable to the masses than Armani’s couture pieces; however, if the problem is psychological, then, why wasn’t Armani working on psychologically appealing to his regular clientele?

The Autumn/Winter Couture pieces from Paris Fashion Week were o-kay. And I think that’s the real problem. Couture is supposed to be about being ‘wow’ed and feeling like, it’s something you’ve never seen before.
Many are wondering if Armani should be retiring soon, yet he says that as long as he’s healthy, he’ll still keep a grip on those reins.
