Design Comp: Create Dazed Cover from Hedi Slimane or DIY
Dazed is inviting all UK fashion fanatics to go to their website and submit cover ideas (by Thursday November 20th!), either from provided templates and options or upload images of your own.
It’s like the fashion media world has decided, Well, we’re tired. You go ahead and tell us what you want to see.
The Dazed audience is rather more street style than high fashion though there seems to be many criss-crosses between the two these days it’s almost as if each one wants to be more of the other.
Available images on the Dazed site are by designer Hedi Slimane, of Tunision-French and Italian-Brazilian origins. Slimane has worked for Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and Vanity Fair amongst many other big names in fashion.
He was named International Designer of the Year by New York’s Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2002, and was approached by LVMH to launch a signature line, however he declined for the sake of his creative freedom and individuality.
