Tim Gunn was the host of last night’s Fashion Forward charity event in New York. The charity fashion show was for raising awareness and funds for the Gay Men’s Health Crisis, and sponsored by Bank of America.

Apparently it was “one big smooch-fest,” as guests and designers all generously admired each others’ works or biographies.

‘Fierce girl’ of the night was Beverly Johnson, “the sill smokin’ 70s supermodel” and now host of reality show She’s Got the Look. Johnson said she hopes that Tim Gunn will make an appearance on the second season of her show.

Featured designers of the event were Michael Bastian, Tim Hamilton, John Varvatos, Ports 1961, Charles Nolan, and Betsey Johnson.

Big name designers had items up for auction, such as a Michael Kors fur jacket. Other items to be won included a trip to Greece for nine days.

Overall, the event raised approximately $225,000 for the Gay Men’s Health Crisis.
