EcoTools: Environmentally Friendly Make-Up Brushes
EcoTools, recently featured in this month’s In Style magazine, brings to us beauty-obsessed, finally, a reason for guilt-free beauty.
The EcoTools make-up brushes are made from bamboo, which is a highly sustainable material. The ferrule has been made from recycled aluminium, and for PETA members or the somewhat similar minded folks, the brush hairs have been made from synthetic taklon, which means that they are 100% cruelty-free.
EcoTools offers the range of brushes for sale individually or as a 5-piece set, which comes in a cute case made entirely of natural cotton and hemp.
I’m really liking this jungle-to-jungle vibe I’m getting from looking at these utensils.
In terms of useability, well, here’s what make-up artist Elsa Morgan had to say:
“I LOVE them. The synthetic fibre that makes up taklon is brilliant, very soft and supple. It’s great for both cream and powder eye shadows – it applies well, washes well. I tried the eye shadow brushes wet too and they applied beautifully. The blush brush is nice and dense and well tapered so blends easily. There’s no lip brush but aside from that it’s all perfect! Love the whole eco-friendly thing! Way of the future!”
