Elaine Kim Opens Her LA Studio
Most fashion designers only open up their studios for private appointments with ‘VIP’ clients, however, Elaine Kim is trying something a little different. On the Fridays of this month (except the day after Thanksgiving), Elaine Kim is opening her Los Angeles studios to the public and items from her collection of stretch-silk tops, dresses, leggings and wool bouclé coats will be available for purchase.
Elaine Kim says it’s a learning experience to see people trying on her clothes, and “If this works out, I’d love to have this evolve into a regular thing.”
Though price-wise for the new collection’s pieces it wouldn’t be any different to buying from a retailer, the perks would be that you get to meet the designer herself.
And previous collection’s leftovers will be 50% off the retail price. (I say, go for the classic looks such as a little black dress or black trousers, if you can get your hands on them!)
