For the Cultural Fashionista: SJP at the MET
For those of you who are missing that delightful girly voice of Carrie Bradshaw and can’t quite shake off that withdrawal symptom feeling from having watched the Sex and the City movie a few two dozen times… Well, if you’re in the New York city area from November 25 onwards, you’ll be able to hear the lovely voice of Miss Carrie Bradshaw yet again, in the form of a narrated exhibit tour titled Costume: The History of Dress, starring none other than the voice of the actress behind it all – Sarah Jessica Parker.
(Gee, that was a long sentence. I hope you kept up because I am not about to change it!)
The length of that sentence was nothing compared to the history of the dress. Which is why the Metropolitan Museum of Art needed SJP to come in and save the day, make the whole exhibit much more interesting. She’ll be describing all the important nuances of history, design elements and all that fashionable jazz as you walk past the lovely pieces in the exhibit.
