Get Out Your Highlighters, Ladies *and* Gentleman!
Seoul Fashion Week concluded yesterday with quite a bang. The highlights were really dull in my opinion compared to the bright neon-fleuro (literal!) highlights of the Spring/Summer 2009 collection by Ha Sang Beg which screeeeeamed ”LOOK AT MEEEE!!!”
Not bad for attempting to bring the ‘fresh’ back into Spring. Also loving the androgyny. Apparently his inspiration was Alice in Wonderland… (if she dropped into a fourth grader’s pencil case?!) Actually, something more like a pond, according to Sang Beg, “a world of creatures, from flowers to dinosaurs.”
I think of Ha Sang Beg as the ‘creepy badass‘ of Seoul fashion. The appeal is something along the same parameters of how some people either love or hate techno music.

Is that a man?? In pink pants? Oh my … love the pink and green though, they really pop against the white.
