Grace Kelly inspired Bridal by Alfred Sung at Toronto Fashion Week
One of Canada’s most beloved bridal designers, Alfred Sung, opened the festivities at Toronto’s L’Oreal Fashion Week on Monday with his ‘White Collection‘ inspired by Grace Kelly. Many off-the-shoulder pieces with delicate embellishments, some Swarovski crystals included, as well as feminine classic silhouettes, all honouring the female body just as bridal dresses should be doing.
With over 30 years in the fashion, fragrance, eyewear and jewelry industries, it seems like Sung definitely knows what he’s doing with his latest bridal collection. It’s also hard to go wrong when you have white, flowy, satin shapes. And I do like the fact that he didn’t over-do it in terms of hairstyling and make-up.
Just a simple ribbon and subtle flower hairbands with neat hair allowed the dresses to speak for themselves, as well as the girls in them. Overall, a very clean, comfortable, elegant look for women to aspire to – much like Grace Kelly, indeed.
