Just Released: Madonna for Louis Vuitton!
Well for somebody who critics were starting to say she’s “lost it,” Madonna is definitely doing all that she can to up her image again. Admittedly I was one of those critics too, and, this time, well, I am relieved that I was wrong. Because she looks great and Marc Jacobs said the fishnets were her idea alone.
Apparently the whole project went underway smoothly and efficiently. (Super-efficiently, as the rumours had only started to spread early last month). Jacobs said he had just been sitting in a meeting the day after he attended a Madonna concert and blurted out, “I think we should do Madonna.”
Within five minutes of text messaging, Madonna had replied, “I’d love to.”
“It didn’t feel so much like a fashion shoot, it feels like portraits,” said Jacobs – obviously a big fan. “What fascinates me the most about her is her never-ending energy, and the idea of becoming and changing. She’s an artist who’s unafraid to use her voice.”
