Naomi No More: Claudia Schiffer for Yves Saint Laurent
Claudia Schiffer is going to be the new face of Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring/Summer 2009 campaign (taking over from Naomi Campbell for their Autumn/Winter 2008).
Having appeared in over 500 magazines over the course of her twenty-year career, Schiffer doesn’t seem to be looking even one day older than that innocent moment in 1987 when she was firstly spotted in a Düsseldorf nightclub by modelling agent Michel Levaton.
In her first year upon entry into the industry she’d been booked by Karl Lagerfeld for a Chanel runway show – something completely unheard of! Since then she’s just pretty much catapulted into the limelight and was dearly celebrated with the rest of the original five ‘Supermodels’ in the 90s (Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista).
For 2009, Claudia Schiffer will be appearing not only in the YSL campaign, but also Salvatore Ferragamo, and Dolce & Gabbana.
This season Claudia Schiffer has been the face of Chanel.

Nice picture - Claudia looks good in black and white. It seems to speak volumes about Chanel.
