Pamela Anderson for Vivienne Westwood
Well who would’ve thought that when Pamela Anderson was spotted front row at Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label show at London Fashion Week that a couple of months later it would be officially announced that she is to be the new face of Westwood’s 2009 campaign?
To top off the quirk that already is, the photoshoot will be held in a trailer park. As if we needed Pamela to be the role model for being glam on a budget? I don’t really understand the logic yet I will put my faith in Westwood’s artistic vision and I am sure the campaign will be dazzling when it’s ready. (And, duh, heavily airbrushed!)
Some are saying that the choice of Anderson may be part of this new trend for curves coming back into fashion (re: Daisy Lowe’s catapult into the limelight and being booked for Marc Jacobs). Well it wouldn’t be the worst thing that’s ever caught on as a fashion trend.
