Rachel Roy, notorious girlfriend to hip hop businessman Damon Dash, has designed an exclusive cosmetic case in partnership with Beauty.com.

“I was inspired by the modern woman, who is equal parts feminine and strong,” said Roy. “I paired a solid and sophisticated black exterior with a softer champagne satin interior in an effort to re-create this balance. I found this to be an extremely organic collaboration, as both Beauty.com and I design for the woman who, despite being on-the-go, remains ever so chic.”

The leather case resembles Roy’s signature style of functional and sophisticated, as can be seen in her latest Spring 2009 runway show. Filled with clean lines and the occasional ruffled skirt which happens to remain in a structured form, it’s undeniable that Rachel Roy is a designer of elegant fashions aimed at a younger demographic.
