Well, it seems the rumours of either Scarlett Johansson or Jessica Alba being the new face of Dolce & Gabbana makeup can now be put to rest.

Looking obviously Marilyn-Monroe-esque, Scarlett Johansson’s promo pics for Dolce & Gabbana have been released to the world for a sneak peak of what’s to come by early February, 2009.

The long-anticipated Dolce & Gabbana makeup line of lipsticks, lip glosses, bronzers, nailpolish and the rest of the lot you’d expect from a luxury fashion-designer labeled make up will be available for purchase from Selfridges in London, Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, and La Rinascente#mce_temp_url# in Milan.

The packaging is gloriously gold and apparently the products themselves are all scented with pretty notes of rose and other pretty smells.

Dolce & Gabbana said they worked on the makeup line as they would a fashion collection, “We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress – you can change makeup like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood.”

Scarlett Johansson has just been everywhere in the media limelight these days.
